First of all, I have a small head, and thus, a small face. These Smith Pivlock V90 Max glasses are perfect, even though the bows wrap around my head as though they wouldn't fit. They do. It is incredibly hard for me to find glasses to fit my head. This feature was one of the main reasons I turned to these glasses. Watch out though and make sure you pick these. Other Smith Pivlocks are larger.
Second, I am a runner. I have gotten used to running with larger shades because I'm sensitive to sunlight. These glasses offer great coverage without feeling bulky.
Third, these glasses are ultra light. I don't even know that they are on. As I mentioned, I am a runner, which makes it particularly important that my glasses don't move around. The nose piece fits securely. And since the case comes with several different sizes of nose pieces, a person should have no difficulty trying to find a size that fits. Luckily for me, the glasses came fitted with the smallest size, so I didn't have to change anything out. It looks pretty easy to do, so no worries there.
Fourth, the lenses are ultra-clear with high clarity. I have yet to find glasses with lenses that offer great vision without the heaviness of polarized. But now I have.
Fifth, the glasses come with a huge case, to protect the glasses and the two additional lenses, as well as a soft pocket sleeve. I love the hard case because my glasses always seem to get scratched. Thus, I decided to buy these!
I owned a previous pair of Smith Optics before. I had that pair for almost two years now and couldn't be happier. I only bought this because this style suited me more. I've had them for almost a month now and I absolutely love them. It's full coverage for your eyes and no frames blocking your vision. Sometimes I forget that I'm wearing them. The best thing about Smith glasses is that there is no eye fatigue. Unlike other brands that charge just as much or more, their products are designed to bend light and make it look natural so your eyes don't get tired from over-compensating. I can go on long runs, bike rides, and play various sports such as baseball and volleyball; and rarely do I ever have to fidget with them. They just sit snugly on my nose despite the sweat. All my friends have tried them on and everyone is envious. If you get brown lenses, they totally make a difference in action sports. It increases depth perception by filtering out scattered light, and allows you to see deeper shadows so you can gauge how far something is. It really helps if a volleyball or baseball is coming at you lightning quick.
BalasHapusI don't know what that guy did to his pair as described in the other review. These glasses are pretty sturdy just like any other, if not more. Even if your glasses break for any reason, Smith products have a lifetime warranty. They replace it for you at no charge. The warranty says they only cover defects, but I and plenty of others, actually broke them accidentally and Smith still honored our warranties. I sent them in, and I got a new pair within a week! (I broke my older version, not the current one) I've tried many brands and none come close to the quality and level of service of Smith sunglasses. I don't know why people even bother with other brands when this one takes care of you for life.
I have had other premium sunglasses, but by far, these are the best.

The glasses are light and fit well on the bridge of my nose. Super-comfortable!
I still need to try out the other lenses, but I know I won't be disappointed.
I've worn a lot of different sunglasses for cycling. This is the best pair I've ever used. I really love not seeing the frame anywhere around my face. The three lense types cover every condition I've experienced. I've swapped lenses repeatedly without any damage or evidence of wear at the connecting points. The Ignitor lense has always been one of the best lenses for variable light conditions. I've used these all summer for 100+ mile road races and several long mountain bike trips. I've recently used the clear lenses for running at night. No problems whatsoever. I'm at Amazon today buying a pair for my wife.
BalasHapusI tried the newer version, the V2's and did not like the nose piece and therefore returned and ordered the V90 Max. I've been on four rides between 25-50 miles and love the way they work. Have had no fogging problems. I have several Smith products and am a fan.
BalasHapusI hated cycling with my old glasses because the top frame would always be directly in my line of sight. These glasses are perfect, they are larger than normal which is actually perfect for cycling and running.
BalasHapusI have done an ironman and multiple marathons in these glasses and will NOT consider any other sunglasses.
The only downfall i have had with these is that while running, the sweat does tend to drip on top of the lens because they are so close to my head, typically with normal sunglasses the sweat will just run down my face which keeps the glasses clean. Not a big problem but something to mention.

BalasHapusGreat glasses for cycling, large eye cover. Sit well on face not too close to eyebrows so very little sweet gets on lenses.
