Perfect utilitarian sunglasses for sports

trailer Flying Fisherman Polarized Sunglasses Yellow Amber

Flying Fisherman Polarized Sunglasses Yellow Amber

I got the amber lenses and couldn't be happier. The tint is dark enough to block out some of the sun but not so dark that it hinders vision. The polarized lenses do a great job on the glare. The frame is just plastic, but it has the perfect amount of flexibility to allow ease of use and movement. I've always preferred the partial rim glasses that allow full range of peripheral vision and these offer that perfectly.

The bridge supports are rubber, which I prefer to plastic (plastic tends to get sweaty for me). These wrap around the face about perfectly for me, but aren't too close. For some they may actually think they look a bit wide because they wrap around without hugging the face too tightly. And very importantly for high-energy active use is that they have a 'vent' of sorts between the lenses and the frame so that they don't fog up when sweating.

The bottom line is these are the perfect sunglasses for me.

  2. I use these sunglasses for tennis when the sun is out, and they work great! They don't distort your vision and provide exellent darkening/shading (whatever you call it). Also, the sides don't press on your head, so you won't get a headache after wearing them for a long time.

  4. Only used the glasses for one week while on a trip. Glasses purchased for this purpose. Seems durable and flexible curved frame fits on top of my head when indoors. Lightweight and comfortable. Works well outdoors with bright sun. No glares.

  5. I am lazy and did not feel like going to the nearest gas station to pick up some glasses... so I grabbed these.
Can't really beat Amazon Prime 2 day shipping for free.

So for 13 bucks I'm very happy with these. They fit great, cover your peripheral vision, and don't look stupid.

  6. Durable and cheap... Good buy. The amber is just dark enough for bright days and light enough for low light days such as overcast days.

  7. These sun glasses are awesome. I have had them for a year or so and they are perfect. I wear them daily in the FL sun. Some have complained about the lenses being able to come out and for me that is perfect for cleaning. I like my stuff clean, even on the edges. I work outside in rugged terrain and just ordered a second pair of another style just for variety.

  8. I really like these glasses for a lot of reasons, they're nice and dark, comfortable and all that. However, the strength of the lenses is what prompted this review. I was shooting a scoped rifle for the first time, and held the scope much too close to my eye, basically touching. The recoil drove the scope straight into the lens, I ended up needing stitches for a big cut above my eyebrow, but if the lens had shattered I would have been fishing glass out of my eye instead of getting stitches. So in addition to being nice glasses, they really do protect your eyes.
